VEEMEE has resleased The London Pub, the first "virtual London pub" for PlayStation 3. The London Pub has gone on sale today in PlayStation Home, priced at 4.99. Based on your favourite London watering hole, situated on the banks of the river Thames overlooking The Houses of Parliament, The London Pub personal space comes complete with a multi-player darts game, a roaring open fire, comedy beer pumps, crank phone calls and hand dryers that don’t dry your hands (they’re only virtual you know). Commenting on the release of The London Pub, Kirk Ewing, Creative Director at VEEMEE said, “It’s always nice to inject a bit of humour into the games industry. In a virtual pub you can get all the banter but obviously none of the booze. In The London Pub in Home we always encourage people to ‘Think Responsibly’!” To celebrate the launch of The London Pub, VEEMEE has teamed up with Unicorn, makers of the world’s finest dartboards, to give away 30 real Eclipse Pro Dartboards in the first 30 days to anyone who plays the multi-player darts game in the virtual pub and tops the pub darts leader board in PlayStation Home. |
