The Making of The Crysis Warhead Intro Movie
Crytek gave a talk today about the making of the Crysis: Warhead intro movie. We will post some shots of the 'work in progress' later, but for now, here's a recording of the intro movie itself, featuring Psycho, and his favourite method of conflict resolution :)
The guys making the movie learned a lot - it was their first time working with the new CryENGINE 2 engine, planes were falling out of the sky because the designers had left Korean troops in the level, trucks weren't driving because, of all things, they had no drivers (I think they've been watching the Cars movie too much!), and they had a small problem with the AI for the Koreans - they wanted them to shoot something, just for show, but there was nothing for the NPCs to shoot, so, they told us "We created a small rat, and set it to be American". Nice solution....
