Game Boxart Rift: Planes of Telara is Trion's entry into the already rather crowded world of Fantasy MMORPGs, and quite an entry it is. Rift advertises itself by saying "We're not in Azeroth any more", however it would be hard to believe that statement if you w

EeePC 900 Launch Competition
Written by: Etali
Date: 2008-05-01
ASUS are introducing the EeePC 900 this month as an upgrade to their landmark EeePC 701 model, and to celebrate the launch of the EeePC 900 they are running an online competition and a promotion with the film, The Ugly Duckling and Me (released on DVD from 16 June) - so if you live in London, or can get to Tottenham Court Road today, read on.

The EeePC 900 is still small and lightweight, weighing less than 1Kg. It comes in a variety of colours, including the standard white or black for business users, and light green, pink, or blue for the fashion concious.

The EeePC 900 is more powerful than previous models, with the Linux variant having 20GB of solid state storage. There is also a Windows XP and Windows Live version available, giving you a nice familiar interface for you to work or play on the move, and with all the basic apps you need, packed inside a 23cm (w) x 17cm (l) x 3cm (h), sleek designer casing.

The extra features include an increase in screen size from 7" to 8.9", and an increase in general specifications too - the new model has 1GB RAM as well as an SD/MMC Card Reader, VGA, RJ45 10/100MB and 3xUSB 2.0 expansion ports - plus WiFi and Bluetooth, so you can connect anywhere.

ASUS are running a promotion in London along Tottenham Court Road today to celebrate the DVD release of the movie 'Ugly Duckling and Me', to include a huge EeePC mascot and two larger-than-life lead characters from The Ugly Duckling and Me, Ratso and Ugly - a fantastic photo opportunity for any snappers in the area - but don't keep the photos to yourself, if you want to enter the competition, take a picture with the EeePC man and send to for your chance to win the DVD and other fantastic ASUS products as prizes.

The EeePC is a great compromise between portability, price, and power. If a normal PDA can't meet your needs, but a full size laptop is just too bulky, then check out the EeePC. This newest version offers a nice boost to the specifications, making it ideal for everyone from teens wanting their first laptop, to business people who like to travel light.
