Blizzard Invitation Tickets On Sale Soon
|
 |
Tickets for the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational convention and tournament gaming event will be available as of this Thursday, 20th of March on the Worldwide Invitational website.
This year, the Worldwide Invitational will take place in Paris, France, at the Porte de Versailles Exposition Centre on the 28th and 29th of June, so that's plenty of time to save up for the trip.
Tickets are priced at 70 Euros / 55 GBP for the two-day event, whre you'll get a chance to get some hands on gaming time with World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and Starcraft II. Just make sure your hotel has WiFi so you can show off to your guild mates afterwards!
You'll also have a chance to ask the developers and executives questions, and take part in some discussion panels. "The previous Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals have provided great opportunities for us to meet with players and share some incredible gaming experiences with them," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're looking forward to bringing this event to Paris for the first time and offering an exciting show for everyone attending."
So, if you want to get the latest news about World of Warcraft, or Starcraft, the invitational is the place to be - and if you want to corner the developers and explain your ideas for an improved honor and PVP system, you'll have your chance to get your ideas in front of the people that matter. Or, you could just go to have fun and party with your fellow gamers.
Those with a more competitive spirit will enjoy the eSports tournament where the best players will compet for a total of $100,000 in prizes. There are also more casual tournaments for people just after a little fun, as well as costume and dance conetsts, and live music performances.
Attendees will get a goody bag with lots of Blizzard Entertainment related items, including a beta key for an upcoming Blizzard Entertainment game (and of speculating from now until the end of June as to what that game will be!). You'll also get an exclusive World of Warcraft in-game pet.
Anyone can attend the invitational, although if you're under 16 you will have to be accompanied by a parent, or a responsible adult of 18 years or above - and yes, the words 'responsible adult' were theirs, not mine.
Keep your eyes on the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational Web Site for more information about the invitational as the date draws closer.
