Women In Games Mixer in LA

omen in Games International, a non-profit organization in the interactive entertainment industry, announced today its second WIGI Community Mixer in Los Angeles. The networking event is Thursday April 26th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm in Santa Monica. Admission is free and requires an advance RSVP.
Belinda Van Sickle, President of GameDocs and Community Coordinator for Women in Games International, is the local host and emcee. Complimentary food and beverages, supplied by El Torito Restaurant, will be provided for all guests. This unique game industry networking event is proudly sponsored by Activision, Disney Internet Group, D3Publisher, GameDocs, Linden Lab and RampRate. Mixer attendees from the Los Angeles area will have a chance to win free door prizes from game publishers Activision, Disney Internet Group, D3Publisher and THQ.
Van Sickle offers, “I’m very excited about the second Women in Games International community mixer in Los Angeles. We’ve received tremendous support from the industry and WIGI members. Our online community has grown to over 250 members and word is getting out about WIGI’s community building efforts. 2007 is going to be a great year of additional growth with mixers in the works in New York City, San Diego, Toronto and other major cities.”
The WIGI Community Mixer in Los Angeles will be held at El Torito Restaurant at 3360 Ocean Park Blvd. in Santa Monica, two blocks west of Bundy Drive. Admittance is free, but an advance RSVP is required. RSVP online today via Evite link.
